We make sure our events are interactive, indispensable, intuitive, inspirational and fun. Each one is unique as we tailor-make every experience to the needs of our clients..
LEGOLAND Windsor
We are now in our fifth consecutive year of providing a comprehensive Entertainment Programme to LEGOLAND Windsor. Designed to bring the much loved LEGO brand to life in new and innovative ways, our activities for LEGOLAND 2008 span a continuous nine-month period and include the brand new and interactive Johnny Thunder adventure show The Revenge of the Aztec Queen; Jack and the Beanstalk, the Pied Piper of Hamelin and Cinderella for the Duplo Puppet Theatre; a costumed character walkabout programme; and the annual LEGOLAND Fireworks Extravaganza that each year attracts over 100,000 parents and children for a day of themed activities and an evening theatrical firework spectacular.
We are also delighted to assist LEGOLAND in the creative themeing of their end-of-year staff gala party and our creative partnership with the LEGOLAND Mansion Corporate Events Division.
'SGA has demonstrated a real understanding of the LEGO brand values and the company has proved to be a strong creative force at LEGOLAND® Windsor. Their professionalism, high standards and attention to detail really sets them apart from their competitors.'
Vicky Brown, General Manager, LEGOLAND Windsor
Aardman Animation
SGA Productions are delighted to have been awarded the live event license for Oscar winning Aardman Animations Ltd and are busy working with new friends Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep to generate some memorable, interactive and fun experiences for 2009 and beyond.
The first of many projects will launch at Easter 2009 and sees Wallace and the faithful Gromit bringing their world of crazy inventions and labour-saving gadgets to the National Science Museum in London. Thousands of schools and families will be able to experience Wallace & Gromit’s world first hand in an inspirational and sensory journey of discovery. Funded by the UK Intellectual Property Office (the old Patents Office), it is hoped the event will encourage young people of all ages and their families to unleash their own creativity and potential.
As Department of Innovation Spokesperson, baroness Delyth Morgan, observed: “Ideas that will change our lives later this century may be in the minds of young children today…encouraging innovation with this fun and interactive exhibition is just the first step.”
Later in the year SGA will be looking to lead the flock again with another unique live event programme for Shaun the Sheep . . . watch this space for details. For anyone interested in working with SGA and Aardman on specific briefs, there is scope to explore bespoke commissions.
Perfetti Van Melle
SGA Productions were engaged by Perfetti Van Melle in 2008 to devise and produce a 50th Anniversary campaign for the Chupa Chups Brand.
A 50’s style tour campaign was produced, complete with American Diner Bus, 50’s dancing from the Chupa Chicks, product sampling, competitions, giveaways and retail opportunities. The campaign was a great success, the Bus an iconic and memorable draw.
Traditional sampling activity was combined with fun, entertainment and an interactive approach. This worked well for the Brand and made the Chupa Chups Bus a must-see activity at the festivals and events it attended. For many, it was the main draw and highlight.
Butlins
We are very proud of our creative partnership with Butlins and the Bourne Leisure Group. An ongoing development since 2004, our seasonal family attractions at the Butlins Resorts grow each year and span the Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas holiday periods. For 2008 we have already devised and delivered three new interactive creative experiences for the Butlins guests at Minehead, Skegness and Bognor: Fireman Sam’s Fire Drill, The Dino and Darwin Exploration Trail and Pingu’s Chill Zone. In addition we have provided themed props and dressing in support of the Butlins kids Clubs for their Circus, Carnival, Pirates and Jungle activities – all new for 2008 to help develop the onsite Butlins Brand.
'We have worked with SGA on many different events and projects over the last few years with tremendous end results all round. They can make anything happen anytime with the least fuss or disruption. They really can add the extra WOW to anything they do.'
Jamie Thomson, Entertainment Manager, Butlins Bognor Regis
Marwell Zoo
Marwell Zoo engaged SGA to create and deliver a magical Christmas experience 2007 for its guests within the Zoo grounds. Marwell had had six years without a winter holiday offer and with the Marwell brand at its core, SGA created Marwell’s Magical Winter.
"We started working with SGA on probably one of the most complex and business critical events that our organisation has embarked on in 10 years. SGA instantly became one of the team. Understanding and getting under the skin of the brief from a creative and logistical angle from day one. SGA choreographed the project dealing with different departments internally and suppliers externally to create the most spectacular Winter Event ever. What impressed us most about SGA besides their creative flair was the ability to deal with problems as and when they arrived. Our Magical Winter event truly was magical and we look forwards to working with SGA again this year. How we would sum up SGA? Creative, fun, commercially aware, team players but above all consumate professionals!"
Amanda Morrissey, Communications Director, Marwell Preservation Trust.
City of London
SGA are pleased to have been engaged by the City of London Corporation for a second year of creative initiatives. For the Grand Depart of The Tour de France summer 2007, SGA set up the SquareMiler initiative to strengthen the experience of visitors and tourists as they visited the Square Mile. Our Teams of volunteers were able to offer a personal welcome to London and to assist and encourage exploration of the City and its attractions. This initiative was then brought back to the Lord Mayors Show and the recent Beijing Torch Relay. Such has been the success of the SquareMiler initiative, a second phase of long-term development has just been commissioned.
ICI Paints
In January 2007, SGA devised and implemented a vast End of the Pier post-conference party for ICI Paints. This was the second year we worked with ICI. 900 delegates enjoyed an evening of activities including a giant funfair, underwater disco, games, sideshows and live entertainment. In addition, SGA provided a large-scale team-building activity for the delegates in the form of a mass Hakka workshop. Working with the Maori performance ensemble Manaia, 900 people learned and performed the New Zealand Hakka as part of the main conference activities. This year we have recently delivered the 2008 conference for ICI Paints in Ireland. Delegates enjoyed a professional Riverdance performance and an extensive post-conference St Patrick’s Day party comprising large-scale disco, street performers, video horse racing, karaoke bar, the Celtic Music Agency and interactive games in a C.S.Lewis inspired Room of Enchantment.
'SGA are a delight to work with. They have an abundance of creativity, yet a common-sense approach, and they are great fun to work with. Amongst other things, they totally transformed three very bare and bland, large exhibition halls into an underwater disco and funfair extravaganza (with novelty acts) for almost 900 delegates. Spectacular - my only problem is how to top it next year!'
Debbie Parmenter, Internal Communications Manager - ICI Paints UK & Ireland
Private Client
In 2005 SGA embarked on their biggest challenge yet – a global conference for a large multinational business that included their families and their children. Working closely with our client, we devised, produced and managed a three-day programme of multi-lingual events, workshops and experiences for young people aged 0 - 14. The culmination of the conference was a spectacular Son et Lumiere show that involved all the young people as the cast. This was followed by the colourful Pinata Disco which was enjoyed as much by the adults as by the children themselves.
SGA are thrilled and honoured to have been invited back in 2009 for a second conference event and plans are already well under way.
Bristol Zoo Gardens
Bristol Zoo approached SGA in 2007 to set-up and run a Winter ice Rink within the Zoo grounds. In partnership with the Zoo, SGA welcomed over 20,000 skaters to the magical rink. Opened by Carol Vorderman on Nov 16th, the Rink attracted much media attention and increased substantially the Zoo visitor numbers.
'We were delighted to partner with SGA on our Winter Ice Rink at Bristol Zoo Gardens. The ice rink was a great success with 20,000 skaters enjoying the unique experience, day and night. SGA were a very professional company to deal with – the ice rink and support services were of a very high quality and they always made sure that the Zoo’s needs and wishes were met wherever possible. Our Guests enjoyed their skating experience very much indeed and we look forward to working with SGA again in the future.’
Alex Page, Commercial Director, Bristol Zoo Gardens
Chester Zoo
In 2006, SGA were engaged to mastermind and implement a brand new Seasonal Attraction at Chester Zoo. With the objective to increase the Zoo’s Winter visitor numbers, SGA created the first ever Chester Zoo Frost Fair. Featuring a 300m2 ice rink, Santa’s Lapland Journey, a Winter Tails Puppet Show, Jeff the Polar Bear and Lynda the Penguin, a Snow Blast ceremony, festive Craft Stalls, workshops and atmosphere entertainment, the Frost Fair increased Zoo attendance by 100% and gave the Zoo it’s busiest December in its 70-year history.
'If you are looking for creative, passionate and engaging services in running events, entertainment programs or indeed environment changing ceremonies: then look no further then SGA. The best thing about this company is their personal involvement in any project. You almost feel that they own it and want it to succeed more than yourself. And I like working with people like that. I totally recommend them.'
Commercial and Business Operations Director, Chester Zoo
Shoreline Hotel Butlins
In 2005 we were asked to create and implement the Grand Launch Event for the new Shoreline Hotel at Butlins Bognor Regis. Activities included trumpet fanfares and a ‘ship naming’ ceremony; interactive events for the press and their children; kit bags full of necessities for a day by the sea; flowers, decoration and atmosphere entertainment. The launch was a huge success and increased national and international awareness of a new era for Butlins Bognor Regis.
